A Crawler-based Study of Spyware on the Web

This paper, released by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Washington, examines spyware threat to desktop security and integrity from the Internet perspective. Namely, the amount and percentage of spyware on the web are in the focus of researchers' attention. The figures for May and October 2005 are being compared, showing the extent of spyware content.
