What is this site about?
Anti-Keylogger.Org is a website for people interested in protecting their PCs from information leakage made by keyloggers.
Keylogger is a program capable of intercepting users’ activity and storing it locally or sending to third parties. The difference between monitoring software listed on another our project, Keylogger.Org website, are the following:
- Administrative privileges. While keyloggers could be installed or just launched under any types of the user accounts monitoring software could be installed only under an account with administrative privileges.
- Using purpose. Despite the fact that both monitoring software and keyloggers have lots in common the purpose of their using are different. Thus monitoring software is most widely used for employees or kids monitoring, keyloggers are used for data theft.
- Physical access. This is not 100% criteria, but in most of the cases keyloggers could be installed remotely while monitoring software requires user to have physical access to the target PC to be able to install it.
