Description from developers
Advanced Anti Keylogger is a powerful, easy to use anti-spy program that prohibits operation of any keylogger, either currently in use or in development. Once installed, our anti-spy software will protect your privacy immediately and constantly.
Advanced Anti Keylogger is the result of extensive mathematical research and modeling carried out by our specialists. The unique protection algorithm of Advanced Anti Keylogger is based on operating principles common to all types of keystroke monitoring programs, both known and unknown, currently in use or in development. Advanced Anti Keylogger prohibits operation of the most dangerous feature of any spy software: recording of a computer user's keystrokes. So Advanced Anti Keylogger works like personal firewall.
Unlike other anti-spy software currently available worldwide, Advanced Anti Keylogger does not require spyware database updates. What is more, you will save a lot of time because no hard disk or memory scanning is necessary. Once installed, Advanced Anti Keylogger will protect your privacy immediately and constantly.
Advanced Anti Keylogger Classic 3.7 Review

- Easy to use
- Ultimate protection from keyloggers and screenshot capturing
Disadvantages:
- Modern operation systems are not supported
- Available in English only
Today we are reviewing Advanced Anti Keylogger Classic 3.7 from Spydex, Inc.!
So we run the installation file and see the welcome screen informing us about the fact that Advanced Anti Keylogger Classic 3.7 is going to be installed. So, we click ‘Next’ and see EULA. We read
it thoroughly, accept and click ‘Next’. The next screen asks us whether we want the program icons to be on the desktop and in Quick Launch. So, we make our choice and click ‘Next’. The next screen wants us to password protect Advanced Anti Keylogger – a very good feature! We put in the desired password, confirm it and click ‘Next’. The next screen asks us whether we have a license key or if we would like to use the free trial version. We choose the free trial version (that is fully-functional within 15 days according to Spydex, Inc.) and click ‘Next’. The screen we see now is the last one – it once again reminds us what components we have chosen to install and where to, we check if everything is correct and click ‘Install’. Few seconds later the program is installed and the Installation Wizard says that the PC restart is needed to start the program. As the item ‘Yes, restart my computer’ is already marked we click ‘Finish’ and wait until our PC restarts. The installation is finished! Pretty easy, so 8 out of 8 in ‘Installation Easiness’.
When our PC boots Advanced Anti Keylogger asks us whether we would like to perform a check for new program’s versions every 15 days. Well, we are not going to test it for 15 days, but recommend our users to choose ‘Yes’ for the understood reasons. The next thing we notice is the program’s icon in System Tray – we click it and it asks for a password. We put in the password and see the program’s window. The program’s interface looks nice and simple for understanding, though a bit ascetic.
The program window is divided into the following sections: Menu, Toolbar, main window and the Status Bar. The Toolbar and the Status Bar can be easily turned off in ‘View’ section of the Menu. The first one
consists of the following buttons: three self-explanatory types of protection (‘High Security Mode’, ‘Custom Security Mode’ and ‘Disable Protection’), ‘Change Preferences’, ‘Turn on On-Screen Keyboard’ and ‘Display On-Line Documentation’. When ‘Custom Security Mode’ is selected there are also ‘Module Properties’ and ‘Display Rule Actions’ buttons. ‘High Security Mode’ simply blocks all the types of any modules trying to intercept keystrokes while ‘Disable Protection’ mode allows everything. The most interesting mode is ‘Custom Security Mode’.
It contains a list of the modules detected, their description, current status (‘Allowed’ or ‘Prohibited’) and Rule action (‘Always allow’, ‘Always prohibit’ or ‘No rule’). Here is how it works in ‘Custom Security Mode’. Whenever Advanced Anti Keylogger detects a module, trying to intercept keystrokes an ‘ALERT’ screen appears. It contains a description about the module, trying to intercept keystrokes and the name of application it belongs to. A user has to choose whether it wants to ‘Allow’ or ‘Prohibit’ the module. He can also mark an item ‘Apply your choice as rule to use it automatically at next time’ to create a rule for the module. There is also ‘Give me advice!’ button that opens a help file with list of the questions helping user to understand whether this module should be blocked or not. Interesting idea, by the way. The entire configuration process is very easy, so Advanced Anti Keylogger receives 8 points out of 8 in ‘Configuration Easiness’ section.
Now, let’s get to the testing.
Advanced Anti Keylogger passes 7 out of 9 tests in ‘Anti-Keylogger Leak Tester’. It only fails in ‘Get Raw Input Data’ and ‘Screenshot 1’ tests. It should be also mentioned that the testing is made in ‘High Security Mode’, while in ‘Custom Security Mode’ Advanced Anti Keylogger also fails ‘Direct X’ test. But we test our products when the security is turned on into ‘maximum’, so 70 out of 90 in this section. The product of Spydex, Inc. also shows a very good result during performing ‘Zemana Security Tests’ – all the tests except ‘Clipboard-Logger’ are passed brilliantly. 30 out of 40!
Now let’s test Advanced Anti Keylogger with our top monitoring products.
Spytech SpyAgent. As we know the product from Spytech Software and Design, Inc. has an anti-keylogger counteraction feature, but Advanced Anti Keylogger installs successfully, though shows not a very good result. Only the keystrokes were not captured and screenshots were not made, the rest of the information from our testing was intercepted. So, 20 out of 48 points.
All In One Keylogger. Anti-keylogging counteraction mechanisms of the flagship product from Relytec are those that Advanced Anti Keylogger cannot stand. The installation just doesn’t start, at all. So, 0 out of 38 points.
Spector Pro. Advanced Anti Keylogger installs successfully as the product from SpectorSoft Corporation doesn’t have any anti-keyloggers’ counteracting mechanisms. It also shows a very good result in this section – only information in ‘Applications Launched’ is intercepted, so it is 30 out of 40 points.
REFOG Personal Monitor. The product from ReFog Software also doesn’t have any mechanism to prevent anti-keyloggers from installation, so Advanced Anti Keylogger installs successfully. The result it shows is the following: URLs, clipboard content and applications launched are intercepted while keystrokes and screenshots are not. 20 out of 48 points.
eBlaster. Another product from SpectorSoft Corporation that also doesn’t have any anti-keyloggers’ counteracting mechanisms, so Advanced Anti Keylogger installs successfully. It also shows a good result in this section – only information about launched applications is intercepted. So, 20 out of 30 points.
Here are other points Advanced Anti Keylogger has received during our testing:
Operation Systems. The following ones are supported: Windows XP, Server 2003, NT4 and 2000 that equals to 14 points out of 31.
Languages. The product from Spydex, Inc. is available in English only, so 0 out of 5 points.
Usability. Both user manual and video tutorial are available on the program’s website. So Advanced Anti Keylogger receives maximum in this section – 5 out of 5 points.
Technical support. Only the technical support by phone is not provided by Spydex, Inc., so Advanced Anti Keylogger receives 9 out of 16 points in this section.
Summing up we can say that Advanced Anti Keylogger is easy to use software with pretty good, though not perfect functionality that will come in handy for those who value easiness in use and wants to keep their non-modern though time-tested operation systems protected from keyloggers.
